Australia's Population Is Changing At A Fast Pace

Australia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world with two out of every five Australians having at least one parent born overseas. Cultural diversity is the defining feature of our society and has contributed enormously to Australia’s success.

  • 26% of the nation's population was born overseas, an estimated 6.6 million people.
  • 49% of the population were either born overseas or have at least one parent from outside of Australia.
  • Australians come from more than 300 ancestries and speak more than 300 languages.
  • Australia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world, surpassing New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

CULTURAL COMPETENCE PROGRAM

The Cultural Competence Program (CCP) is a range of online training courses and online resources designed to enable organizations to train large numbers of people in the areas of cultural competence, diversity and inclusion.

The program is delivered by App and/or web and can be tailored for large organizations. It is complemented by The Cultural Atlas – a world class online resource providing specific information about a range of cultures.

KARI INDIGENOUS CORPORATE TRAINING

The KARI Indigenous Australia Program assists organisations by equipping them with the skills that they need to effectively engage with, and create leaders of, their Indigenous Australian workforce. Further, the KARI Program is also centered on establishing strong relationships with Indigenous Australian leaders and mentors across a range of different sectors and industries.
