PURDUE 77, LEHIGH 55 The 16th-ranked boilermakers improved to 6-0 heading into tuesday's big Ten / ACC Challenge game at Pittsburgh

Purdue is now 6-0 for the second time under Matt Painter, joining the 2009-10 squad that started 14-0.

Isaac Haas scored a career-high 24 points, 21 of which came in the second half, in Purdue's 77-55 win over Lehigh.

Haas was 8-of-11 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. He added five rebounds and scored his 24 points in just 20 minutes.

Haas is now averaging 15.0 PPG and 6.5 RPG in just 19.0 minutes per game. He is shooting 75.6 percent from the field and 73.7 percent from the free throw line.

“I just made up my mind when I was coming out in the second half that I was just going to be more aggressive with my post-ups and keep it simple and try to stop dribbling, and it worked out for me.”

Haas' 75.6 field goal percentage is the best in the country among players that have attempted at least 40 field goals.

Vince Edwards continued his standout sophomore season, narrowly missing a triple-double with nine points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. The rebound and assist totals were career bests. Edwards is now averaging 10.5 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 3.3 APG in just 26.0 minutes per game.

P.J. Thompson continued his standout play with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes. Thompson was 1-of-1 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Thompson has yet to turn the ball over this year, having zero turnovers in 126 minutes of action. He is one of three players nationally without a turnover in 125 minutes or more.

Over the last four games, Thompson is 9-of-14 (.643) from the field, 5-of-8 (.625) from 3-point range and 12-of-16 (.750) from the free throw line, averaging 8.8 PPG. He has 14 assists against zero turnovers this year.

Johnny Hill scored a season-high 13 points, becoming the 10th different Boilermaker to score at least 10 points in a game this year. Hill is shooting 11-of-15 (.733) from the field and 11-of-14 (.786) from the free throw line this year. Over the last two games, Hill hasn't missed a field goal attempt (5-of-5). 
Caleb Swanigan tied a career high with 12 rebounds, coming in just 29 minutes. Among freshmen nationally, Swanigan is fifth nationally in rebounds per game (9.2) and is second in the Big Ten among all players.
A.J. Hammons blocked four more shots to run his career total to 270. Kendall Stephens connected on a 3-pointer to move into 10th place by himself on the career 3-pointers made list with 152, surpassing the great Troy Lewis. Dakota Mathias made a 3-pointer against Lehigh and is now 10-of-21 (.476) on the season from long distance.
