2010 Finca La Emperatriz ~93 Points Wine Spectator~
Fresh and focused, this red delivers black cherry, licorice, black olive, tea and smoke flavors that mingle harmoniously over light, firm tannins. Orange peel acidity keeps this lively through the spicy finish. Not showy, but balanced and graceful. Drink now through 2022.
2013 Coppola Votre Sante Chardonnay ~90 Points Wine Spectator~
This delicious wine holds back a little on the aromas, but gives up a palate of enticing fruit and baking spice flavors dressed in accents of butter and toasted almonds. It offers a little more textural interest and a little less obvious ripeness than its competitors.
2013 Michael David Petite Petit ~92 Points Wine Spectator~
Battalions of tannin accompany ripe fruit flavors in this bold, full-bodied wine made from Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. A supportive wrap of astringency from layers of fine tannin bolsters the rich blackberry and blueberry flavors, while flashy, spicy, smoky, new-oak accents infuse everything from the aroma to the finish.
2013 Smith & Hook Cabernet Sauvignon ~92 Points Wine Spectator~
Truly a wine that over delivers, this packs molten fudge cake, vanilla-laced black-currant syrup and chocolate pudding with a fresh sprig of mint on the nose. The palate is soft and dynamic, with ripe black currants given complexity though licorice and butter-softened roasting herbs, all wrapped in tannins that keep the flavors steady throughout.
2014 McManis Petite Sirah ~89 Points Wine Spectator~
In color, this wine is virtually black, with a deep-red rim, while aromas are concentrated and dense. Flavors recall blackberry syrup, yet are nicely dry. Despite its full body and thick coating of tannins, the wine’s texture feels polished and all the elements are in balance.
2014 Omisso Alvarinho
A beautiful golden color with hints of white peach, star fruit, pear and crisp elegance! Nicely rounded with perfect minerality. Dry, smooth and inviting. Perfect with grilled oysters and smoked salmon. Our favorite of the night!
Charles Sparr Cremant d'Alsace Brut
This high quality wine is produced by following the strict rules of the traditional Méthode Champenoise with 12 to 18 months on the lees prior to the disgorgement with the Brut dosage of a homemade secret liquor. Pinot Blanc is the grape used for this crisp, off dry refreshing sparkling Cremant. Very crisp while also creamy, the wine has sliced apple acidity with a mineral, tight texture and a lemon aftertaste. It's young and fruity, fresh with a lively mousse. Rich with an intense concentration and focus. Because it is dry, it pairs very well with food. Perfect with Brie cheese & honey, Marcona almonds and bacon wrapped figs. The finish is supple and inviting making you want more. Wine & Spirits also Year's Best Alsace Whites - This sparkler offers soft notes of tangerine and golden apple. It feels rounded by a creamy mousse, clean refreshment for a toast.
2012 Tossal JR Old Vine Grenache ~94 Points Wilfred Wong~
Intense garnet color with a dark violet rim, aromas of raspberry and fruitcake with forest-floor notes. Fleshy, balsamic and spicy with a touch of vanilla. Good acidity and firm tannins. Round and long finish. Very well-balanced with perfect integration of fruit, alcohol and oak.
2015 Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc ~90 Points Wine Spectator~
Even big brands like Oyster Bay benefitted from the excellent vintage conditions in 2015, so consumers shouldn’t be shy about trying some of them. This medium-bodied wine has a pleasant, silky texture, understated graphite and citrus aromas and flavors, and a long, mouthwatering finish. Oyster Bay Wines.
