INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF CRIMINOLOGY
ISC is a non-governmental organization and many of its members occupy senior positions in their countries and in international institutions. The Society enjoys advisory status at the United Nations, and the Council of Europe, and participates in UNESCO’s work. The International Society of Criminology is one of the most active and influential scholarly associations at the forefront in addressing the challenges and problems posed by crime and deviance and in finding solutions that also fully respect human rights and democratic values. The World Congresses of Criminology have been held under the auspices of the International Society of Criminology, since 1938. ISC, in collabration with JGU, is organizing The 18th world congress of criminology.
JINDAL INSTITUTE OF BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCES
Jindal Institute of Behavioural sciences (JIBS) is a value based institute committed to understanding, developing and applying human process competencies through continuous experimentation, research and learning related to Social Sciences, Mental Health, Neurosciences and Cognitive sciences, Psycho biology, Managerial Sciences, Forensic Sciences, Criminology, Victimology and Psychology, etc. JIBS’s vision is to expand strengthen interdisciplinary and collaborative research programs. JIBS is committed to enhancing educational opportunities and community engagement.
CENTRE FOR VICTIMOLOGY & PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDIES
Centre for Victimology & Psychological Studies (CVPS) is an offshoot of JIBS and is actively involved in multiple projects on victim assistance and victimization. These programs seek to provide assistance and support (i.e., legal, psychological, educational, medical andrehabilitative kind) to various types of victims. CVPS is dedicated to conducting research of various perspectives pertaining to victims and organize various workshops and seminars with the mission to provide assistance to the victims.
