Institute For Jaques-Dalcroze Education Discovers the Yamaha N2 AvantGrand

AvantGrand N2
The Inatitute has just purchased a brand new Yamaha N2 AvantGrand piano. "It has the action of the C1 Conservatory Classic Collection piano, a 5-foot, 3-inch grand that can go for upwards of $20,000." And it is always exactly in tune, which is so important in any Dalcroze class.
AvantGrand N2
It's great for teaching Eurhythmics because it has two different pianos, one which is warm for free-flow movement improvisation and another which is brighter for exercises that require rhythm and pitch precision.

Yamaha calls it a "hybrid" piano, and that's not just marketing hype. "The hybrid approach was taken seriously by Yamaha even at the conceptualization and design stages of the Avant Grand, as it's the first Yamaha digital project on which the acoustic piano division of the company had equal input."
Purchasing the N2 Yamaha AvantGrand piano is just another example how the Institute for Jaques-Dalcroze Education is working to provide the most rewarding musical experience for all future Jaques-Dalcroze teachers. Join us this summer.
