Caribbean Soul Trekkers At an All-White Holiday Lounge Party in Grand Cayman December 2015
Caribbeans really know how to throw over-the-top parties and Christmas-time is certainly no exception. So, when we received a personal invitation to attend Grand Cayman's Eighth Annual Mistletoe All-White Christmas Lounge Party, we made sure not to miss it!
This fundraising event (a portion of proceeds were donated to Cayman Hospice Care) was a star-studded (the twinkling kind) feast of site, sound and taste hosted by Abacus Restaurant in Grand Cayman's newest and trendiest town, Camana Bay.
The outdoor terrace of Abacus Restaurant and a large portion of the outdoor boulevard were transformed into a trendy lounge and nightclub complete with a hand-rolled cigar station and three bars. The two larger bars served cocktails and champagne while a smaller, more intimate bar was designated just for aged rums. I'm sure you already know which one was first to catch Mango Eddie's attention!
White lights strung from trees made the starry sky seem just within reach while sparkling snowflakes hung from the bar were just enough to remind us of how lucky we were to get a break from the holiday chill back home.
DJs rocked the bells with old-school Hip Hop, Reggae and Soca, stirring guests in their glamorous attire to jump up and wine down without restraint.
And speaking of attire, guests spared no expense to don swanky and tropical, Christmas finery. A walk through this party was like roaming through an all-white, Caribbean-styled production of fashion week.
Check out our photo gallery below for highlights of the night's all-white fashions and to see our pick for best fashion trend of the night. Enjoy!

Center Stage Entertainment: "Lords a Leaping and Ladies Dancing"
Something was in the air that night, and it wasn't just Christmas.
While the surrounding crowd jumped to the beat of the music, acrobatic pole dancers took to center stage, offering an exhilarating and classy diversion.
Guests gazed (and often gasped) in amazement as these performers defied gravity.

Our Style Pick of the Night: High-Top Sneakers from Da One, Tree, Four, Five Collection
Before Luigi Moxam opened Cayman Cabana, known for its weekly farm to table dinners (Thursdays), he introduced Da One Tree Four Five Collection of "locally designed and locally inspired brands of clothing, accessories, rum, local art, and much more". Ten years after its inception, this well-curated collection continues to thrive. Once you take one look at these soon to be released high-top sneakers, featuring Cayman's indigenous iguana, you'll see why.
Caribbean Soul Trekkers wishes to thank Brett MacMurray of Abacus Restaurant for hosting this amazing, Caribbean winter jam and sends a special shout out to our friends at Caybrew and Cayman Cabana!
