#USCtotheNFL 2016 nfl draft

Four of 496

USC added four more members to its record-setting fraternity of all-time NFL Draft picks. Three Trojans were drafted in the top three rounds, USC's best haul by the end of the third round since 2011.

Su'a Cravens - Round 2, No. 53

LB/S Su'a Cravens led the way for the Trojans, selected in the 2nd round (53rd overall). He will play for Redskins DC Joe Barry, a former USC linebacker and assistant coach. As of now, he is currently listed as a safety by the Redskins.

The Right Number

Cravens sported No. 21 while at USC in tribute to Redskins safety Sean Taylor, one of his all-time favorite football players. No Washington player has worn Taylor's number since his passing in 2007, and so when Cravens was faced with picking his new jersey number, he was encouraged by fans to opt for Taylor's rookie number, No. 36. Cravens will be the first Redskins defensive player since Taylor to wear the number.

Max Tuerk-Round 3, No. 66

C Max Tuerk went in the 3rd round (66th overall) to the San Diego Chargers, so the Orange County product will see plenty of family at his games. He is the highest drafted USC center since NFL All-Pro Ryan Kalil in 2007.

Cody Kessler - Round 3, No. 93

QB Cody Kessler shocked NFL Draft experts by surging up to the 3rd round (93rd overall). The Cleveland Browns made Kessler the highest drafted USC QB since Mark Sanchez went 5th overall in 2009.

Kevon Seymour - Round 6, No. 218

CB Kevon Seymour rounded out the quartet of Trojans drafted in 2016. He was the only USC player picked on Day 3, selected in the 6th round by the Buffalo Bills.

Undrafted & Undaunted

Despite not hearing their names called in Rounds 1-7, seven Trojans heard from NFL coaches and GMs over the weekend to sign with teams as undrafted free agents. These Trojans will have the chance to earn spots on their respective teams at upcoming rookie mini camps and OTAs.

Tre Madden - Seattle Seahawks

Claude Pelon - New York Jets

Anthony Sarao - Indianapolis Colts

Delvon Simmons - Indianapolis Colts

Greg Townsend Jr. - Oakland Raiders

Soma Vainuku - Houston Texans

Antwaun Woods - Tennessee Titans

See You On Sundays

The Trojans remain on top of the all-time leaderboards for 1st round picks, total draft picks and No. 1 overall selections.
