I am delighted to provide an additional way to connect and visit with you... through a live, online program I call Go To Studio.

Many schools and public libraries find that an online visit is a more affordable option to hosting an author or illustrator on-site.

All you will need is a computer, an Internet connection and a projector with speakers (whiteboard).

Go To Studio allows me to engage with ONE classroom or ONE grade level within a building in real time using a high-quality video and audio interaction. I share content-rich materials that relate to my books, my writing and illustration processes and my career as a creator of children's picture books. I also include select readings, live drawing and a Q&A in this program.

After scheduling the program for a day and time that works with both of our schedules, I will email a link that you can use to connect with me in my studio.

I present the Go To Studio program using Keynote, a powerful presentation application, and control the presentation from my studio desktop as you view it.

My online presentations will not be very different from my location visits, although I will miss being with you in person.

It’s a good idea to schedule a brief informal “session” a few days before the online visit to make sure the equipment on both ends is working properly.

A Go To Studio session generally ranges between 30- to 45-minutes and costs $150. This reflects more than a 70% savings over my traditional on-site author/illustrator session.

I will record the session so that you can share it with students who were absent during the live program. You may also wish to review the the video when discussing the program's topics with students at a later date.

I will email a link to the recorded session, often on the same day as the Go To Studio program, and it will be posted for a limited time. Important: The video session is intended to be viewed by ONE classroom or ONE grade level within a building only. Any other use beyond the agreed-upon group is strictly prohibited.
