USA Hockey Registered Coaches are FREE!

UW Health Sports Performance Training Center at The American Center
Developing on-ice performance begins with a foundation of off-ice athleticism. Our degreed, certified and experienced coaches follow USA Hockey's American Development Model in designing our off-ice programs for hockey athletes of all ages.

If long-term health and athletic development is the goal, taking a developmental approach to training is the only objective.

As professionals who work with youth athletes, our philosophy is simple. We utilize a systematic approach to training athletes of all ages with an emphasis on athlete first development designed for peak performance.

Phase I: Develop the Athlete

Fundamental movement and sport skills for hockey players ages 10 and under.

Phase II: Prepare the Hockey Player

Training concepts for hockey players under 12.

Phase III: Train the Hockey Player

Building better hockey athletes by age Bantams.

Off-ice skill development designed to build the athlete inside the hockey player.

This hands-on workshop will cover the following

Dryland Training Concepts

Coordination, Body and Spacial Awareness
Multidirectional Speed, Quickness and Agility
Athletic Strength Training for Hockey
Power and Explosiveness for Hockey
Linear acceleration and speed
Motor Control and Injury Prevention
