UMass Women's Lacrosse Win Over Holy Cross Minutewomen start season with home win, 16-5

Taylor Fischer was excited to make her first career start
Hannah Murphy started the scoring for the Minutewomen. She finished with four goals and six draw controls in the win.
A-10 Offensive Player of the Year Erika Eipp showed no signs of slowing down on the attack. She had a goal and four assists in the win.
Nicole Troost scored a career-high five goals to lead all players in the game. Last season as a junior, the New Jersey native had 21 goals in 21 games.
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was on hand to watch his daughter Amanda who is the head coach at Holy Cross and a former UMass assistant coach.
Draw controls were key as UMass won 14-of-23

The team posed with Coach Angela McMahon after the game to celebrate her 92nd win at UMass which makes her the winningest coach in program history. She passed the legendary Hall of Famer Pam Hixon who guided UMass to the 1982 NCAA National Championship title.
