You Gotta Cut Loose FOOTLOOSE at bdt stage
Footloose the Musical has kick-ball-changed the BDT Stage into a special kind of summer throwback. Based on the 1984 film of the same name this production features a high energy young cast.
“Choreographed and directed by Matt Peters, the dancing and choreography alone will have audiences on their feet!” says Michael J. Duran, BDT’s Artistic Director. “We’ve had audiences asking for this show since it hit Broadway over a decade ago – so people are very excited we’re finally getting it up on our stage.” Featuring BDT newcomers Jean Luc Cavnar as Ren and Seles Van Huss as Ariel, “Footloose is sure to bring us one heck of a high energy summer!”
Book by Dean Pitchford and David Saint. Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford. Music and lyrics by Eric Carmen, Michael Gore, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, Tom Snow, Jim Steinman, Bill Wolfer and Dean Pitchford. For those who remember the film this stage adaptation retains some of the big hits songs including "Holding Out for a Hero," "Let's Hear It for the Boy," "Almost Paradise" and the title track by Kenny Loggins, "Footloose."
The energetic cast makes it a fun evening, and ladies in this BDT Stage production practically steal the evening.

The BDT Stage FOOTLOOSE cast also made a special appearance during the screening of the movie FOOTLOOSE at the Alamo Drafthouse Denver. This was part of a new special event series in partnership with the Denver Actors Fund and the Alamo Drafthouse "Featuring films that either inspired - or were inspired by - stage musicals that are currently being performed by a Colorado theatre company “Denver Actors Fund Presents ...”
