Trash Sculptures Exhibition Batory Business English Class

"Don't be a pig!" by Jagoda Rakowska and Katarzyna Drelich

Scan the code to see the film!

Everybody should be responsible for the environment. We have to think not only about ourselves but also about animals that live among the trash we produce all over the planet. We've used a pig as a symbol because pigs make a lot of mess.

"Christmas Tree" by Adam Wójtowicz and Mateusz Kot

The tree is made of the objects which we don't need. We decided to use 80 one-off pots, toilet paper rolls, plastic caps, styrofoam marbles, an orange tinsel, and a box as a pedestal. It's 54 cm heigh excluding the pedestal. We covered the "needles" with some green paint. All the activities took about 4-5 hours including the interview which you can find by scanning the QR code. As you can see there are also some presents for you. Take ONE OF THEM! First come, first served! Have a nice day and enjoy our sculpture as well as the interview.

"First Order" by Ania Sendejewicz and Ada Fałdyga

Our sculpture shows a cactus as a symbol of plant life. We used old plastic bottles and ripped slices of magazines. In front of the main sculpture we placed a stream which symbolizes watercourses.

"Jar Jar" by Nikodem Rzucidło and Marcin Frąk

"Garbiesel" by Maciek Dudziński and Andrzej Guz

"Weeping Willow" by Jerzy Plewik, Michał Stolarz and Jan Kukowski

"The last of the penguin" by Weronika Grygierzec and Weronika Żuławska

This sculpture shows what animals will look like if we don't stop destroying the planet. This penguin symbolizes all the endangered species and the consequences of poisoning the water.

"The Web" by Paweł Podkościelny and Jan Starosta

There is more and more rubbish in the forests. Animals have to live around them. This spider has decided to recycle some wires into his new house.

"Rubbish Dog" by Krzysztof Ślaski

The sculpture has a symbolic meaning. I wanted to show some aspects of what we can do with rubbish and why we should protect the environment. It is really important to think about our planet. We should improve the situation on the Earth for our children and grandchildren.

"Chimera" by Marcelina Podleśna and Wiktoria Gorzelska

Today we'd like to show you our sculpture fully made of trash. In 20 years there won't be any plants and people will be forced to use rubbish to create flowers and trees By this project we'd like to encourage people to save the environment and try to recycle more trash.

Thank you for taking part in this class activity. You are really creative! It's a great pleasure to be your teacher. Monika Kapuśniak
