Running on Empty Retreat 2016

Women in the Word Community Bible Study

As one year comes to a close and another one begins, know that God has called each of you here to this place for His Divine purposes. A few days set apart from your regular routine to seek God, to sit in His presence, to rest, to be renewed, refreshed, refueled and restored.

Rest

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Renew

The same power that rose Jesus from the dead lives in us. Romans 8:11

Refresh

Because those who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God. You received the spirit of Sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

Romans 8:14-16

Refuel

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6

Daughters of the King!

Therefore pray in this manner: Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us of our trespasses as we have forgiven those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

Restore

Father, we praise You for all who come away rested, renewed, refreshed, refueled and restored. We thank you for this promise; "for the Lord your God is living among you. He is a Mighty Savior. He will delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." Zephaniah 3:17
