Music Under the Stars  THE WEST POINT BAND'S 2016 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

The West Point Band has presented concerts on the banks of the Hudson River since 1817. Continue the tradition and soak in the history and majesty of West Point as you take in a concert while overlooking the waters that George Washington called "the keys to the continent." Come hold a link of the great chain that stretched across the waters of the Hudson River and enjoy music ranging from John Philip Sousa to Bruno Mars. Who More Than Self Their Country Loved

Join us as we celebrate the Army Birthday, commemorating 241 years of selfless service to the nation. The beautiful and historic grounds of the United States Military Academy provide the perfect backdrop to honor the Army and the nation through world-class music. The performance kicks off with a streamer ceremony and ends with a cake-cutting, in true birthday fashion!

Travel the world without ever leaving the beautiful Hudson River views as we take you on a musical journey featuring music from around the globe. We will also pay tribute to the heroes of the U.S. Armed Forces who travel far and wide to protect our nation’s freedoms.

Totally Rad '80s

Saturday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Join us at Trophy Point for an evening of pure, unadulterated 80’s music—everything from the big hits, to one-hit wonders, to 80’s rock and dance music. Now’s your chance to dress the part: tease your hair, bust out your legwarmers and neon glasses, and dance the night away!

Independence Day Celebration

It’s only fitting to celebrate America’s Independence on some of the very grounds where we fought for it. Ask any one of the thousands who regularly attend this event why it’s a must-see. World-class music and a stunning fireworks display make this concert one you won’t want to miss!

Cartoon Classics

Saturday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Cartoons have been introducing classical music to the young and young at heart for decades. If you grew up watching Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry, you’ve undoubtedly heard some of the great masterpieces. From Looney Tunes to current animated series, you’ll love this whimsical program of songs from your favorite animated shows, past and present.

Red, White, and Country

Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Kick back and enjoy top singles from the Benny Havens Band’s 2016 country album release, plus current country hits by artists such as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and more!

Kids Night: Story Time with Quintette 7

Saturday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Bring your little ones for a hands-on musical experience as Quintette 7 brings your favorite children’s stories to life in this engaging and interactive performance. Be sure to arrive at 6pm for the instrument petting zoo, where your child can get up close and personal with the instruments of the band!

Dancing Under the Stars

Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Dance the night away to all of your favorite dance hits, past and present. You’re invited up to the Trophy Point stage, converted into the perfect dance floor overlooking stunning Hudson River views. Bring your best moves and get ready to party!

Escape to the movies and relive all of your favorite movie moments through the power of music. From the exciting and dramatic to lighthearted and comedic soundtracks, this program has something for everyone.

Labor Day Celebration

Saturday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Summer isn’t over in the Hudson Valley until you’ve heard the powerful finale of the 1812 Overture with live cannon fire, followed by a brilliant fireworks display over the Hudson. Bring your family, friends, and a picnic to this annual favorite showcasing music of all genres.
