Kenya with The Trumps A REPORTING SERIES ON visiting missionaries

#1 - Travel Though the First Day

My travels started in Miami International Airport on Sunday, December 5th. I had an evening flight to Atlanta and all went without a hitch.

Through Atlanta onto my flight to Amsterdam.

Suppose I should mention that this is my first trip out of the country....

After 8+ hours in the air, we land in Amsterdam at 12:30pm local time. Since I didn't leave until 8pm, I hopped a train and checked out central city.

Wasn't too impressed. Perhaps another time I'll take a boat tour.

Back to the airport and all aboard on Kenya Airways. I really should have slept on the flight....

After another long but wonderfully uneventful flight, I landed in Nairobi at 7am local time. Thankful for Shauen & his middle son, Elijah, for being there to pick me up!

Some simple pictures from the day with Shauen from their nice retail mall down the street to coffee in their front yard to family time:

Grateful for the opportunity to be here with such a great family, in a wonderful country, and to help tell the story of what its like for them and others who live and work in Kenya. (And excited to have some fun along the way!)

Stay tuned for more each day...
