Nederland Mines

This is the nederland mining town. People still keep the old equipment like bomb shells, houses, and other items like there pix axes. It is an actve town.

This is a picture of a grenade That was used to open tunnels. Children would pull it and place it then they would have 30 seconds to get out before it would blow with them inside. 370 children died Over 14 years when the mine was up and running. This mine was up and running for 50 Years.

These are the pipes that they would use to transport the mud so that they could mine the silver, and Toungsten.

Nederland is an active town but the population is unknown Elevation is 8,233ft.

40 adults and 10 kids where miners. They were all used in the mine. There is a miners museum in the middle of town.

This is the museum in the town. Kids and families learn about the towns past.

The towns people wake up tho this everyday. It is out in the middle of nowhere.
