Building confidence on the high seas

Lord Clinton's Charitable Trust is supporting an inspirational Devon-based youth charity. Please read our story to find out how you too can help make a big difference to the lives of young people.

How we support the Trinity Sailing Foundation

Lord Clinton is the patron of the Trinity Sailing Foundation, established in Brixham, Devon in 1999 to help build confidence and self-esteem among young people - particularly those who face significant challenges in their lives.

Much more than just a sailing trip, young people have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to embark on an adventure of self-discovery that, for most, is life-changing.

This year, a donation made by Lord Clinton's Charitable Trust has funded sail training for two groups; an adoption charity from Devon and a group of 11 sea cadets from Teignmouth.

The Hon Charles Fane Trefusis, a trustee of the Lord Clinton Charitable Trust visited the sea cadets as they returned from a voyage from Fowey to Brixham onboard Leader, an historic 1892 Brixham trawler.

He said: “The sense of achievement and camaraderie among this group was incredible. The work of this charity really can change young lives at a time when it’s needed most. I would wholeheartedly encourage you to support their work in any way you can.”

You can help too!

There are many ways in which you can support the Trinity Sailing Foundation; from corporate support to fundraising while shopping online.

Director Toby Russell said: “Donations are absolutely critical in keeping our sail training opportunities available for young people of all backgrounds and abilities. Many of the groups would not be able to afford to take part without it.”

Please join us in helping make a difference to the lives of young people.
