As part of this show, the art teachers of Citrus County organize and display student art work for viewing. CSMS will have a display with nearly 50 student pieces from the 1st semester art classes. The student display will be under the big tent at the show. Come on out and enjoy walking around the Old Court House in Inverness and seeing the art displays. There are usually food booths as well. Bring the whole family for some good outdoor cultural fun!

Please contact Mr. Koch or Coach Porcelli with any questions.
positive behavior support
October ended with a bang for our students--so much packed into so short a time. We are very proud of the participation by both students and staff in our October programs, Anti-Bullying and Red Ribbon weeks.
Both programs give us an opportunity to discuss issues that are not always part of family discussions and it has been proven that students don't always know what we expect that they know where behavior and good social responsibility are concerned. We use this time to model behavior and expectations to help them understand their role in society now and in the future. For Red Ribbon Week, CSMS SRO Deputy Barry introduced a speaker from the Anti-Drug Coalition to speak to our 6th grade students about the effects of drugs on themselves and their families.
Our September Soaring Falcons were: 6th grade, Max Chestek; 7th grade, Shelby Pitre; and 8th grade, Julia Belair. Our PBS Teacher of the Month was Deanna Hadley and our PBS Support Person of the Month was Kathie Richie.
Our Flying Falcons were Brianna Gainey, Robert Flood, Riley Houle, Jameshell Jones, Chance Smithie, Xavier Ortiz, Jewel Green, Lily Dalahan, Wally Fisher, Brandon Comegis, Dominick Foster, Tyler Richardson, Destiny Dickson, Aleeya Griffin, Shi Crall, Alexis Deluise, Jeremy Hordeman, Alan Badalato, Rebecca Ferretty, Katelyn Kowanes, and Emily Haupt.
Our November plans for PBS include participation in and support or CSMS's Talent Show on November 6. A share of the proceeds from the talent show will benefit PBS programs. Please come out to support our students and enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment. Presale tickets are available at the school in advance for $3 and at the door for $5.
