PURDUE 95, YOUNGSTOWN STATE 64 The boilermakers prepared for the crossroads classic with yet another dominating performance to run their record to 11-0.

A.J. Hammons recorded his 18th career double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal in just 21 minutes.

Hammons surpassed 1,200 career points and is now one of two active NCAA players with 1,200 points, 700 rebounds and 250 blocks.

Hammons is shooting 62.3 percent from the field for the season and averaging 12.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in just 20.6 minutes per game.

Hammons blocked three shots against Youngstown State and now has 53 career games (out of 108 career games) of three or more blocked shots.

Caleb Swanigan scored 15 points with a career-high six assists and five rebounds against Youngstown State.

Over the last three games, Swanigan has averaged 15.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 85.7 percent from the free throw line.

Swanigan is 1-of-3 freshmen nationally to average 9.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Isaac Haas scored 13 points with six rebounds and one assist in just 18 minutes of action. Through games played on Sunday, Haas leads the country in fouls drawn per 40 minutes (9.8) and is fifth in Ken Pomeroy's Player of the Year race.
Rapheal Davis scored 13 points with three rebounds, one assist and one block in 23 minutes against Youngstown State. Since his return to the lineup, Davis has 23 points, six rebounds and three assists in 41 minutes played. He made three 3-pointers in the game's first 13 minutes -- only the fourth time in his career (107 games) that he has made at least three 3-pointers.

Johnny Hill scored seven points with five assists, three rebounds and one block in the win over Youngstown State. His block came late in the game on a great hustle play -- his second highlight-producing block in as many games.

Hill is now shooting 17-of-21 (.810) from the field over his last seven games, and for the season is at a blistering 74.2 percent (23-of-31). Of players nationally that have 30 or more field goal attempts, his 74.2 percent shooting is ninth in the country and FIRST among guards.

When Hill dishes out five or more assists in a game, his teams are now 16-2 during his career.

Hill is also shooting 80.0 percent (24-of-30) from the free throw line and is averaging 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists over the last six games. For the season, he owns a 1.69 assist-to-turnover ratio (27:16).

Vince Edwards tallied nine points, five rebounds, five assists and one block against one turnover in just 21 minutes against Youngstown State.

Edwards, a 6-8 forward, leads the team in assists with 41 and has a brilliant 2.41 assist-to-turnover ratio this year (41 assists, 17 turnovers).

As a team over the last two games, Purdue has 54 assists on 67 made field goals against just 16 turnovers. Purdue now ranks 11th in the country in assist rate at 67.6 percent (assists / field goals made).

Dakota Mathias had six points, five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes. For the season, Mathias has 23 assists against five turnovers in 215 minutes of action.
Kendall Stephens totaled nine points in just 14 minutes making 3-of-6 3-pointers. Stephens now has 30 career games of three or more trifectas and Purdue is 24-6 when he makes at least three 3-pointers.
Stephens now has 165 3-pointers in his career -- the most for a Power-5 player currently a junior or younger. UCLA's Bryce Alford is next at 157 trifectas.
As a team, Purdue made 10-of-21 3-pointers and over the last two games is now 22-of-52 (.423) from long distance. The Boilermakers have six games this year of 10 or more 3-pointers. The most double-digit 3-point games in a season is 10.
The Boilermakers may boast the nation's best defense. Purdue ranks sixth in the country in field goal percentage defense (.333), scoring defense (57.5), eighth in rebound margin (+13.2) and 20th in 3-point percentage defense (.275). According to statistician Ken Pomeroy, Purdue is No. 1 in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency.

The Boilermakers face Butler on Saturday at 5 p.m. on BTN in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs are ranked in the top 20 and will be the toughest challenge to date for the Boilermakers.
