Zuma Beach

World-famous Zuma Beach has been the home of Pepperdine's national-championship winning beach volleyball team since the program's first season in 2011-12.

Zuma Beach is located just seven miles west of Pepperdine's campus along Pacific Coast Highway, and just west of Point Dume. The Waves play between Towers 2 and 3, or at the 29800 block of PCH.

Zuma Beach has given the Waves -- the 2012 and 2014 AVCA national champions -- a decided home-beach advantage. Through the program's first five seasons, Pepperdine has a record of 25-1 in dual matches on its home courts. Playing on an actual beach and in windy conditions has also helped prepare the Waves for the national championships, which are contested on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

One of the largest and most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, Zuma is known for its long, wide sands and excellent surf. It consistently ranks among the healthiest beaches for clean water conditions in Los Angeles County. It hosts several premier surfing events each year, and is also a popular filming location for movies, television and advertisers.
