Mission Encounter July 29-31, 2016

If you have every wondered not just how we DO mission, where we are in mission, and most importantly why we are called to LIVE out missional lives as disciples of Jesus Christ, this is the event to attend!

Register early and pack your bags for a mission adventure without leaving Virginia. Every summer hundreds gather for the best kept secret in the state. But now you know, so "PLAN TO GO!".

Food and fellowship is part of the fun, so bring a friend and room together, learn together, and eat together. Or better yet, do what I do: sit with a different group at every meal and learn from people all over the state.

Spirituality is a big part of the weekend with prayer, worship and personal reflection.

Classes are the main event!

Choose an issue...

Spiritual Growth...

or a Geographic Study!

There is even a class taught in Korean!

If you are a "hands on" kind of person, there is usually an activity to keeps your hands busy.
You may meet a missionary or two!

The classes are top-notch, taught by trained, caring instructors...

...with lots of interaction...

...singing...

and fun!

The speakers are enthusiastic!

The information worth remembering and sharing!

Discussions are lively!

During your free time you may catch up with old acquaintances, make new friends, rest on the porch, walk the Labyrinth, or study. Did we mention there is shopping? You can do all of your Christmas shopping and support local artists around the world at the same time.

Did we mention there is food?

If by now we have peaked your interest, please know this weekend is open to men and women, clergy and laity. There are CEU units if that interests you. It's economical and you can even bring items to help in an additional mission project. If it's your first time, there are even limited scholarships available to help with the costs.
