PURDUE 70, NEW MEXICO 58 The 11th-ranked boilermakers improved to 8-0 with all eight wins coming by at least 12 points.

Isaac Haas led Purdue with 21 points, his second career 20-point game, both of which came in the last three games.

Haas is now shooting 68.4 percent from the field and leads the country in fouls drawn per 40 minutes (10.8).

With his performance today, Haas now ranks fourth in the Ken Pomeroy Player of the Year ratings and is averaging 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds in just 18.0 minutes per game.
Vince Edwards had five points, eight rebounds and two assists in the win over New Mexico. Over the last three games, Edwards is averaging 7.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists.

A.J. Hammons recorded his second straight double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while adding three blocks.

Hammons now has 273 career blocked shots to go with his 1,176 points and 709 career rebounds.

Hammons moved into 31st place (past Carl Landry) on the career scoring list and his 17 double-doubles are the 15th most in school history -- 16 of which have come against power teams.

The tandem of Isaac Haas and A.J. Hammons combined for 37 points and 17 rebounds and scored 32 of Purdue's 39 second-half points. New Mexico had 33 second-half points.

Johnny Hill had one of his best games at Purdue with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. He went 4-of-5 from the field and is now shooting 72.7 percent (.16-of-22) from the field for the season.
In the second half, (Cullen) Neal looked at me and said, 'Man, y’all just too big.' I just laughed and said, 'Yeah, it’s a pretty good luxury to have.'
Purdue scored 38 bench points and in the last two games, 82 of Purdue's 144 points scored have come from the bench.

Purdue hosts IUPUI on Monday night, going for its fourth 9-0 start since the 1950-51 season. Can't wait to see you at Mackey Arena on Monday night. Let's keep this train rolling!
