THE BUILDING PROJECT 2016
OUR JOURNEY
Five years ago after years of preparation we began the first phase of our project by renovating the lower hall and kitchen area. In 2015 we began the second and biggest phase of the extension of our main auditorium. This will double our maximum seating potential, give us a mezzanine floor, new toilet facilities, and give us the options of several meeting rooms. The work is scheduled to finish in March 2016 and the proposed launch date is on Easter Sunday, 27th March 2016 at 10.30am.
THE PROJECT COST
The Cheltenham Elim building project 2016 costings are summarised as:
- Overall building costs £447,146
- Bank Loan £250,000
- Total raised so far £167,146
- Shortfall £10,000
At this stage we are short of the total figure. We will be able to complete the main part of the project, however, the smaller side windows and some other items will have to wait. We are making grant applications, continuing to raise money, and looking to cut costs where we can.
