Lakeview News December 4, 2015

Welcome to the Lakeview News

The goal of the Lakeview News is to show the joy and learning that happens every day at Lakeview (including Alex, Matea, Katherine, and Gus working together on their vocabulary words in Ms. Brown-Tiffany's class). You can access archives for the PTSA-produced Leopard Tales newsletter, as well as view an archive of both the Leopard Tales and the Lakeview News, at the links below:

Four Important Reminders

There is a flurry of activity leading up the winter break, some of the most important reminders are below:

  • Multicultural Night (Dec 10) - Everyone is invited to Lakeview's Fourth Annual Multicultural Night to be held on Thursday, 12/10 from 5:30-7:00pm in the gym. Enjoy tasty foods from around the world. Take time to look at the art on display. Participate in a cultural fashion parade. Come dressed in the traditional clothing of your ancestors or just come as you are and enjoy the evening with us!
  • Winter Wishes (Dec 14) - Winter Wishes, a Lakeview tradition, allows the community to show they care by helping families share in the joy of gift giving and receiving during the holiday season. Through Friday, December 11th, gift tags will be available for pick up both before and after school in the front office. Bring all items unwrapped to school office on or before December 14th. We will also have a collection area at the Lakeview Multi-cultural night. Please return all gifts with their original Winter Wishes tag attached with the family number and gift number.
  • Lost and Found Pickup (Dec 17) - Lost and found is overflowing, we will be donating all items in the lost and found to The Hope Festival on Friday, December 18th so make sure to swing by and look for that missing jacket on Thursday, December 17th or sooner.
  • Annual Parent/Community Web Survey (Dec 18) - Every year, Lake Washington School District surveys parents and community members for their opinions and feedback on how our schools and the district are doing. Your feedback helps us understand what things are going well and where we could make improvements. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. The survey will close on Friday, December 18.

All-Day Kindergarten 2015-16

This week the district announced that all kindergarten classes will be all-day next school year. We are excited to we will be able to provide all-day kindergarten to all of next year's newest Leopards! Information can be found at the link below:
