In the 1800s, slavery was a big issue with a large portion of the population. The abolition movement was a major part of that era of time. This was a very important part of the 19th century. Abolishing slavery was a portal to a new, modern world. We took a great stride to make America free and great. Lysander Spooner greatly impacted the abolition movement of the 1850's.
