Youth Lead the Change: Participatory Budgeting

We know you have hundreds of ideas on how to use $1 million to make Boston a better place and its not too late to share them! You can still submit an idea to Youth Lead the Change!

Sign up to be a Change Agent! Change Agents are essential to making Youth Lead the Change (YLC) happen! They turn ideas submitted by the community into complete proposals which go up for vote in the spring. Change Agents are a the center of the process giving real decision-making power to youth in our city!

The 2016 City of Boston Scholarship application is now available. Boston residents seeking their first degree at a two or four-year college or university in the state of Massachusetts are invited to apply. Deadline to apply is April 1st!

Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Summer BizAcademy is a two-week intensive entrepreneurship business academies this coming summer, hosted at Suffolk University’s Entrepreneurship Center. The program will run July 25 – August 5, 2016 at Suffolk University on a full-day schedule for members entering, or currently in high school. The program activities include group work, individual learning, field trips (including one to New York City), a selling event, a business plan competition with prizes, and guest speakers who provide members with a fun and interactive hands-on opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to recognize business opportunities and plan for successful futures.Applications are now available and are due by March 4th. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and is the perfect opportunity for you to show some love to others in need! Gotta Have Sole is a group that gives brand new sneakers to kids who are living in homeless shelters. Your job is to make one-of-a-kind cards that will go with the shoes and then write a friendly message on each one. They can even be Valentine's Day-inspired! 2016 Boston Red Sox Scholars Application: The 2016 Boston Red Sox scholars application is now open to 7th grade students in Boston Public Schools and Boston charter schools system. This program gives out a $10,000 college scholarship to 10 students talented in academics that have low income. Deadline to apply is February 29th!
