Street Art of Barrio Brasil Santiago, Chile
To the west of the city center of Santiago, Chile lies Barrio Brasil. This barrio is an older section of the city and includes some unique architecture. It is a great area of Santiago to walk and explore. The area also has an artistic flair with a lot of street art. So I joined Cat from Foto Ruta Santiago with cameras in hand to check out the street art within this barrio.
The Colorful Streets of Barrio Brasil
The art was on walls, garage doors, behind windows and depicted all types of styles and backgrounds.
And if you're not careful, a monster may be waiting for you around the corner.
Some were political
Some were colorful
Some are downright bizarre!
Some were just amazing.
Most of the artwork included the artist's name. I was impressed that Cat actually knew the works of many of the artists and would comment on where and what the artists had done in the past.
You could see the damage from previous earthquakes on some of the buildings.
