Keep Your Eyes Open Aesthetic Media project by Dalton Ryan

Video

Keep Your Eyes Open is my adaptation to being with people you know all your life then suddenly going away. This story is based off me going from Florida to California after my parent's divorce, leaving me in a very awkward situation. The moral is that you have to pick yourself up, and that locking yourself away won't get you anywhere. In order to truly see the light of life, and what really makes it worth living, you have to keep your eyes open.

This effect was fun and tricky to do, masking so closely around my hand and timing the push was difficult.

This is a before (right) and after (left) of the color change I had done for this shot. I did this because I wanted to display a change from what seems to be a rise up. However, as it's revealed in the next shot, it is not.

Scouting for interesting shots was my favorite part of the project. Going back and forth between listening to the music I had chosen and finding something to pair the feeling created was a unique experience.

Here's some more shots I really enjoyed taking during this project!
