Down on the Farm Has Returned in Board Book Format!
Merrily Kutner's story, Down on the Farm, has returned to board book format! Originally due to be released on Monday, February 15, 2016, it is now available and retails for $7.99. Many thanks to the publisher, Holiday House, for bringing back the story in this format. The rhythm of the story, bold illustrations and sturdiness of the book make it a perfect choice for very young children.
Artist Interviews with Will

DOWN BY THE BARN Selected as Recommended Book by Parents' Choice Panel
REVIEW: Will Hillenbrand's farm-themed companion to his Down by the Station picture book is a read-aloud treat, with a cumulative pattern a la "The House That Jack Built," and sound effects galore guaranteeing requests for repeat readings: "Down by the cows,/early in the morning,/see the little calf/waiting to go!/See the tractor driver pull his little lever…/Puff, Puff,/click, clank,/moo, moo,/OFF WE GO!" In Hillenbrand's charming illustrations, a big-nosed pup in overalls drives the bouncy tractor; a natty scarecrow is his first passenger and soon all "the baby animals" are going along for the ride. When the happy travelers reach their surprise destination, readers will feel part of the mix, too.
