Whilst in Barcelona in 2014 I photographed this peaceful march to celebrate International Women's Day which is held on March 8 every year. This particular march had strong political overtones as the right-wing national government had just overturned many of the rights of women which had been enacted by the regional government in Catalonia. Although peaceful, the politics involved can be clearly seen by the banners and flags being carried.
