Our HISTORY

In 2004, Lawton Swann a lifelong fan of sports radio found himself living in the Midlands of South Carolina without a show that truly covered the Clemson Tigers.
A 2002 Clemson graduate, Swann realized that Clemson Tiger fans who live outside of the Upstate needed a show that represented their Tigers.
In the winter of 2004, Lawton Swann decided to start a Clemson podcast. He would soon partner with a large Clemson message board and TigerNet Talk was born.
Having no broadcasting experience, Swann was venturing into a new territory. However, the show was well received, and driven by his passion for Clemson he dedicated himself to improving.

The PODCAST YEARS

TigerNet Talk would continue to grow as Swann hosted it from his home. Former Clemson Tiger players, coaches, and legends would begin to join the show.
On August 30, 2008, just three years after it was created, TigerNet Talk was the 9th ranked sports podcast according to iTunes.

Next, Swann would partner with CRM Sports and host a second Clemson podcast called "Clemson Hotline".

Clemson PodcastS becomes Clemson Sports Talk

By 2012, Swann's Clemson Podcasts brand had expanded significantly. Social Media was taking the world by storm and Swann would ride the wave to more podcasting success.
During this time, Swann rebranded as Clemson Sports Talk and the live online shows would eventually become #1 on Vokle ahead of fellow broadcasters like ESPN's Bomani Jones.
Clemson Sports Talk programs were also ranked in the top of Spreecast's most watched shows alongside programs like the Wall Street Journal's live show.

INVADING THE BELLY OF THE BEAST

On June 15, 2013 Clemson Sports Talk hit the airwaves in Columbia, South Carolina.

Lawton Swann's unique style would be well received by both Tigers and Gamecocks. The show's Hurry Up - No Huddle pacing would continue to increase listenership.

Rival fans were invited to "Peek Over The Fence" at Columbia's first fast-paced and action-packed show focused on Clemson.
Clemson Sports Talk's guest list includes former Clemson Tigers like C.J. Spiller, Brian Dawkins, Coach Danny Ford and many more.

One of the best hosts in the sports talk business, Tim Brando, would once tell Lawton on air about his style of broadcasting, "Not many people today do it right way. You do."

Expanding the brand

In 2014, Lowell the Intern joins the show and works his way up to "Lowell the Producer" in 2017.
