SpeakIt! Extension
Do you have struggling readers or ESL students in your class? The SpeakIt! Chrome extension could change your classroom!
The SpeakIt! extension will read ANY text in a web browser OUT LOUD in many different languages! Even if the page is in English, it will read the text in a different language of your choosing!
Here's How It Works:
First, open your Chrome browser. (You MUST use Chrome for it to work!)
Go to the Chrome Web Store.
Search for SpeakIt! (or click the button below!)
Click the blue ADD TO CHROME button.
A pop-up will appear asking for permission. Click Add Extension.
The SpeakIt! icon will show up at the top of your screen next to the URL bar.
Go to the web page that you would like to read.
Highlight the text on the page that you would like to be read out loud.
Click the SpeakIt! icon and listen to the text!
That's all there is to it!
