My name is Riley and I go to elementary school in Overland Park, Kansas. I love Minecraft, Pokémon, anime and Harry Potter and spend my free time coding, gaming, reading, baking and learning Chinese.
My dad introduced me to CoderDoJoKC and talked to me about what coding is all about. At CoderDoJo I met my mentors, Jacob and Jennifer. They help me improve my work.
Some girls might shy away from tech because they think it's too hard or because not many other girls do it. But I say, "Try it and don't give up!"
Someday I'd like to be a web developer or game developer. I know I want a career in coding. I look for new languages to learn. I look for websites and apps to help me learn. And you can too!
