The Best of 2015 First Part

This is the end!! This year has been a rollercoaster in many senses and for me the beginning of a new chapter in life. Yet, I believe that we need to press pause and review what happened in these 365 days and learn for the one coming (complex enough as a year is this one will be one day longer).

Last week I started to review all the pictures I took since January 1st, 2015. I realized that it clearly was the beginning of a journey.

Fashion & Portraits

To start with I booked and shoot (photographically speaking, of course) my first model and from there the number of people willing to help me in front of the lens grew on weekly basis. I want to thank each of them: Rodrigo, Kent, Waldemar, Steven, Svetlana, Preke & Adela, Lucas, Thiago, Naila & William, Naila, Willam, Patrick, JuanFer, Daniel, Monty, Stefano, Nick & Kevin, Adela & Marcus for the time the spent with me and tolerated my bad jokes.

Landscapes

The world is beautiful and going around it has been one of my pleasures in life for me. These are the most remarkable places I have been at during the last year. I hope I made justice to them.

Brazil in February

I have never been crazy about cruises but I have to admit I have been proven wrong in many levels. Here are a couple of samples of the amazing views from the Atlantic ocean near Rio de Janeiro

Montauk Point Lighthouse

The love for photography can only be expressed by the sacrifices done by those facing the weather inclemencies.

Montauk Point Lighthouse - Long Island, NY

It was a bleak middle winter, as those we won't probably have any more. Dan and I drove to the furthest point in Long Island to see the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean in front of us. The temperatures were well beyond freezing point. But it was worthy.

The winter sky offered colors I never seen in a sunset. The glare of the atmosphere made it quite ghostly too. Amazing moment to be there and reflect.

A Bit of New York City

Central Park in March
Black & White New York City Backstage Project
Coney Island in Summer.

The great Trey Ratcliff and his team organized a photowalk crossing the Brooklyn Bridge in a lucky amazing sunset over New York City. Here is the result of that day.

Brooklyn Bridge Sunset
... and I couldn't asked for more: my nephew Fabrizio was visiting me and surely enjoyed the walk as well

Finger Lakes - Upstate New York

The Tom Family had the risky decision to invite me to spent a few days during their holidays. I went for the first time to a region of the state of New York I've never been before.

Watkins Glen Canyon at the Watkins Glen State Park

The Tom family and their eternal patience with me

The New York Botanical Garden

With the awesome photography group led by Sally Morales and Verena Koenig I went to the Botanical garden where I met this guys. All roundly cute they looked at me as I was their next dinner. It seems to be that size doesn't matter here.

2015 E National Championships Regatta

What a weekend!! The great (New York photographer and mentor) Peter Hurley invited me to shoot the Regatta carried out in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Peter was part of the Olympic National Sailing team a few years ago but he never stopped competing.
