Lough Key Triathlon Club November 2015

Hello and welcome to the first Lough Key Tri Club Newsletter. This is planned on being a monthly round up of activates within the club, a look to future events our members will partake in and also a look to some events we have planned ourselves. Please feel free to send on this newsletter to anyone that has an interest in our club, might be interested in joining us or perhaps giving one of our organised events a go!

Race Reports

Well done to all members who headed out to Kiltoghert for the Turkey Trot. On a lovely winters day a good gang from the club took part in this well organised race on "rolling country roads"! Dee was second lady home with Bernie and Eileen along with Liam, Terry and Ashley all running with Mark on photo duty. Thanks as always to Mark for sharing the photos.

Westport Sea to Summit

We had Liam, Bernie and Helen representing the club in the annual Sea to Summit race in Westport. This is one of the most channelling adventure races in the country and always draws a massive crowd. Liam will hopefully provide a race report to us in future newsletters but he did say that he would definitely recommend this race to others with Bernie and Helen saying exactly the same even though Croagh Patrick had legs suffering the day after!

Well done and congrats to Paul Little who braved the wind and rain to successfully defend his title at the Stonepark Warrior Challenge on Sunday the 15th. Paul came off the very windy and tricky bike leg third but put in a powerful run to once again take the title, congrats Paul.
