Aston Martins at Burghley House 2016 Sunday 3rd July - 9:30 - 5:00

In the summer of 2014, Ed Cunningham organised a gathering of Aston Martin cars and owners. The venue was the stately grounds of Burghley House, near Stamford, Lincolnshire, UK. The objective - to raise money for charitable causes: Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support - and to bring together a community united by a shared passion.

With the help of online forums and social media, a large dose of bloody-minded determination and a coercing of friends and family members to 'muck-in', what started life as Ed's idea of a small get together, turned into one of the largest private gatherings of Aston Martins ever assembled.

The weather turned up, as did 246 of these beautiful machines, from all eras of the company's history. Owners and guests descended on Burghley from every corner of the UK, as well as a number from overseas. The gathering was a hit with the general public too - a large crowd enjoying a feast for the eyes, a range of supporting displays and events and a glorious summer's day out.

In the end, the 2014 event raised a total of £11,132.20 for charity. Objectives met and exceeded. Congratulations Ed!

On a glorious summer's day, owners and their cars came from all over the UK and beyond.
So, we are into 2016 and preparations are well under way to do it all over again. The date: Sunday 3rd July 2016. The venue: back to Burghley House, Lincolnshire. The event is now fully subscribed, with more than 600 vehicles registered to attend. Yes, that is SIX HUNDRED Aston Martins and over £9,000 has already been donated at the event's charity fundraising page. With a month to go, we'd urge those that haven't yet, to consider making a donation. Finally, thanks to everyone involved for your generous support.

Attending Burghley 2016 will be some of the most valuable and historic vehicles from the marque's 100-plus year history.
