All-College Honors Newsletter Early november EDITION: 2015

Thank you for your attention and time in opening this email. The All-College Honors Program's Student Board and newly founded Honors Student Association is proud to present our third bi-weekly newsletter.

This is an effort to increase effective communication within the Honors Program without having an excessive number of emails.

During the academic year, we anticipate disseminating this newsletter at the beginning and middle of every month

If you don't meet any of these admissions criteria, you may petition to join Honors by contacting Dr. Dierenfield directly.

A Program Coordinator with Cardinal Scholars has reached out to Honors and is looking to hire more Canisius College students interested in tutoring. They recruit tutors from some of the top schools in the country, and their hiring criteria includes academic excellence, a personable nature, and most importantly: an aptitude for teaching!

New tutors can join their platform to be considered for local opportunities that match their subject skills and weekly availability.

  • Desired Skills and Experience: Teaching, Tutoring, Leadership, and Mentorship
  • Responsibilities: Tutor local students based on your subject preference and availability (work as much or as little as you’d like!)
  • Qualifications: Fantastic teachers who have experience teaching or mentoring others, are academically curious and intelligent, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Compensation: Online tutoring sessions start at $15/hour, and in-person tutoring ranges from $23/hour up to $50/hour.

If anyone is interested in the opportunity, please contact Burt directly at masonb@cardinalscholars.com.
