Hot Wax and Overlays

The Hot Wax & Overlays contains 20 items created with Encaustic Wax and 10 items of custom designed overlays.

Encaustic Wax is made from beeswax, pure pigment, and tree resin hardener. The wax for this set was applied to boards and heavy paper. The results are rich in color and depth giving the artist a wonderfully diverse background from which to layer in any number of other types of content.

All files are high resolution jpeg or png format. The full backgrounds are either 12 x 12 or 18 x 12 inches.
The accent pieces are png files on transparent backgrounds and large enough to scale.

Back Door Designs
All of the overlays were custom designed using Photoshop. The bottom 2 Corel Painter's Kaleidoscope tools were used as well. They are high resolution png files on transparent backgrounds.

Here are some examples of how this collection can be used.

Use hue/sat to change the color.
Easily customize the colors of any of the overlays by clipping the layers together and using blend modes.
Add to your own photographs to create a unique piece of art.
