Reviving a Legend... The renovation of HIstoric Reynolds coliseum continues, as the iconic building is refurbished to celebrate its past, and prepare for the future.

Built in 1949, Reynolds Coliseum is one of nine "hallowed spaces" on NC State's campus. Through a partnership between NC State Univeristy and Athletics, the building has been undergoing a $35 million renovation which began in March of 2015 and will be completed in August 2016.

The original configuration of Reynolds Coliseum will give way to a new design that establishes the NC State Athletics Walk of Fame & History and provides for a more intimate home court advantage by reducing seating capacity from 8,300 to 5,500.

Seating in the South end of Reynolds, once far removed from the court, will now provide a more engaging spectator experience.

Construction continues in the arena area of Reynolds, with the future NC State Walk of Fame & History in the distance.

The cleared out space in the South end will lead to enhanced concession experiences for future visitors.

While much of the interior seating in the upper concourse will be the existing seats, new options will be added in selected areas...

New seating for courtside areas.

New seating that will be placed in the first five rows on the sidelines in the upper bowl.

Bleacher seating for end zone and retractable areas.

The NC State Walk of Fame & History is taking shape ... The structure will celebrate the history of NC State Athletics, and serve as home to its Hall of Fame, created in 2012. The facility will benefit the campus community as a whole and will be an ideal gathering place.

Construction begins on the stairwell to the second level. The stairwell will ultimately be furnished with sculptures of wolves, and a supporting environment.
