Living a Life of Radical Love Bringing the ministry of reconciliation to the ends of the earth!
Hi, my name is Lindsey!
I am a daughter of The Most High God! I was radically encountered by Jesus 4 years ago and shortly after that powerful day I gave my life completely over to Him. It was the first time in my life that I experienced pure love and it was His love, forgiveness, mercy, and redemption that has "wrecked me" (changed me) forever. I've discovered whose I am and also who I was always meant to be.
Needless to say, my life looks completely different than I'd ever imagined it could! It far exceeds any of my hopes or expectations.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. the old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this ministry of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us . We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. NLT
Because of Christ's love I am redeemed! Literally NEW! From now on, all I ever want to do is love and serve my Redeemer Jesus Christ! Let me share my life of Radical Love with you!
I've discovered that above all things I am a worshiper of God! It's what I was created to do.
Before having an intimate relationship with The Livng God I suffered from trauma which led to years of brokenness that virtually shut down anything creative inside of me. It was the darkest case of "writer's block" that seemed impossible to break out of. Opening my heart to receive the passionate love of God literally healed my mind, will, emotions, physical body, and my spirit. Total psychological and physiological restoration! This process opened up the channels of creativity and expression to FLOW once more! It was amazing to feel ALIVE again! It was a supernatural exchange of letting go of the old me to discover who the new me actually was!
Colossians 3:10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. NLT
We become what we behold! As I started to learn who Jesus is and spent time knowing Him I noticed that things like depression, suicidal thoughts, addictions, self-hatred, toxic relationships, and lies began to miraculously leave my life and I took on a new identity that reflected God!
We were created to bear the image of a God and carry the very characteristics of His nature inside of us. That includes beauty, royalty, joy, creativity, and powerful love! One of the ways I express love or worship to Him is through creating beautiful music and allowing my heart cries to become melodies for God to enjoy which also impact the world around me!
Another way I express my heart is through artistic mediums like painting, sketching, charcoals, jewelry making, and creating art pieces or crafts with my hands that reflect what I'm feeling! I feel so much FREEDOM during this process because FEAR is no longer welcomed in my life and therefore cannot determine what I will or will not do. I am led by LOVE!!! This has restored my innocence of being a child of God who can explore new things, try new things, live outside the box, and become captivated, remaining in a sense of awe and wonder that I don't ever have to get over!
My love for God is even creatively expressed through playfulness and dancing! Powerful shifts happen in the spirit realm in these moments of experiencing and releasing JOY!
Darkness flees, lights emanates, and life begins to swallow up any sign of death in an atmosphere or person's heart! I can literally feel the delighted heart of God in these moments 😊.
My desire is to find God all the time in the world around me. I love feeling His presence in the beauty of nature. Many conversations start here!
At any moment I can connect with His heart! How utterly amazing is that?! I can talk about whatever's on my mind because I know He cares for me. But more than talking I love to sit and listen to Him talk to me! He speaks back to me in the most personal and profound ways. He is my dearest friend and I truly cherish these times in solitude and contemplation.
This is what living a life of prayer and worship looks like behind the scenes. The real fruitfulness of my life derives from this authentic place of knowing God and being fully known by God.
Now how does that transfer to the world around me?
Jesus intended for this to be a simple application in everyday life. It's as easy as "stopping for The One" who is altogether lovely and worthy and then from that place of loving Him simply "stopping for the one" that Jesus puts in front of me and loving them too. I choose to do this radically!
Whether I'm home in Texas in the midst of so much prosperity...
In a beautiful nation with a wealth of history and culture...
Or in the poorest slums where broken, hopeless, and forgotten people live in survival mode each day...
I'll go Jesus! Send me!
After a 3 month time in Africa at a missions school, I was sent to Nepal for 1 year.
Everyday looked different and I had so much to learn in a foreign land where there were cultural, spiritual, and communication barriers. I learned that by saying YES to Jesus each day I could be taught and empowered by the Holy Spirit to become the love of Christ to every person in every situation if I let His love consume me! It was powerful and beautiful!
His love took me to some of the highest mountains and remote villages where I could see a poverty I'd never seen before. These humble people truly knew what it meant to have need. Which made them able to see their great need for Jesus! They had literally just never heard of Him before!
This realization impacted me forever! I want to find those who don't yet know and bring them the good news! God's love is for every person on the planet. And there are SO many who still haven't heard.
Jesus had something powerful to say about these people. He made a great distinction as He spoke...
Matthew 5:3-10 The Beatitudes
"God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs."
Matthew 25:40 "And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'" NLT
This life of Radical Love requires a heart that is yielded because the world around us can change in a moment...
After the massive earthquakes happened in Nepal in April, I was able to help serve and do some disaster relief before I had to leave the country due to being unable to renew a longer term visa.
So I took an unexpected flight back to Texas to regroup!
I love encouraging people because together we can change the world!
One thing I have learned is...
God ALWAYS has a plan!!!
And His plans are ALWAYS better than our plans!
I am SO blessed to get to follow Jesus with my best friend Kady!
And I have amazing friends all over the world who have the same heart to radically love like Jesus. I get the privilege of reconnecting with them in many different nations at divinely orchestrated times.
No matter the location it is always full of FUN!
The next stop...Israel!
This was a multi-faceted trip of obedience that required ALL of our resources.
Jesus is worthy!
When He's inviting you into something, say YES no matter the cost. He is worth it!
It was a time of being consecrated and set apart for God alone.
It was a time of intercession prayer for the peace of Israel.
It was filled with worship and prayer times with believers from all over the world. Together we released the heart of Heaven over the nations so that His Kingdom can come to earth in fullness!
We created pieces of art that could prophesy over the land and the people in it!
We were freshly filled with the Spirit.
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” John 7:3
It was a time of personal restoration and fresh freedom to dream again!
In a place of so much spiritual and political tension, peace was breaking through the heaviness!
Coming out of what felt like a wilderness, we could sense the hopeful glimpse of fruitfulness breaking forth!
We were blessed to receive a rich spiritual inheritance that can be imparted to the nations we serve in long term.
We even got to attend a wedding for our friends!
We experienced Jewish people hearing the gospel and being touched by God! It was miraculous! We also experienced the supernatural power of God in the form of physical healing and financial provision. We connected more than ever with God's heart that desires a ready Bride!
There was always enough!
Which leads us to what now???
We're bringing Radical Love to India in 2016!
We have friends who have recently moved to this city. They believe God has called them there to bring the atmosphere of Heaven through the love of Jesus in a way that will bring hope and salvation to this place!
It is a spiritually dark place where people go before death. Many believe that they can be made holy by entering the waters of the Ganges River surrounding this city. Many gather here to do so or say goodbye to loved ones as bodies are still burned there.
Many trained men Sadhus) are considered holy by the commoners. They are paid by people coming to receive a blessing or a good future. But these men are not God. They themselves are broken and have deep need. Spiritually they are already open to unseen realms and many welcome prayer, receive undeniable peace they've never felt, and physical healing! What other God can accomplish this! It is clear that God wants every heart.
Poverty is prevalent there and many are in desperation as they try to escape the difficulties of the caste system and unfortunate situations. There are orphans, prostitutes, disabled, and mentally tormented among others.
Many widows have been abandoned and left without hope or love...
Radical Love is coming!
Our heart is to focus on prayer and worship so that the presence of God will be released there. Then we plan to go out and love the least of these and share the good news with those that we meet!
This is where you come in! You can still be a part of what God is doing in the earth even if you can't go!
