Quarter 1 Painting Project
The painting above was created during for first marking period. To create this painting i used acrylic paint. Using this kind of paint helped Me complete this project because acrylic paint is fast-drying and is also a water resistant.When creating all the colors in my painting I had to mix my primary colors which were blue, red & yellow to create my secondary colors pink, purple, green & orange. The black on my paintbrush was the only color that i did not paint, in fact i used a black sharpie because I didn't have any black acrylic paint. Overall I was very proud of how my quarter 1 project turned out because all my designs were free-handed. My inspiration for this painting was simply art.
Quarter 2 String Art Project
quarter 2 I decided to create an project known as string art. The materials used in creating this type of project is very simple. Creating the project i used wood, acrylic paint, nails, hammer & yarn. my first in making this string art was painting the wood, I decided to part the wood down with 3 different designs and colors on the wood.When creating the colors on the wood i mixed my primary colors and made the secondary color pink & purple.I went with design and structure because i knew that i would also break my name into 3 syllables.after the paint on the wood dried I began to write my name on the wood, when doing that I used a sharpie so my name would be able to be seen when nailing the nails on each word. Nailing the wood took about 30 mins, once I was done that i wrapped the yarn around each nail so my name would then become 3d on the wood. String art was very new to me when creating it but it turned out to be very easy.
Quarter 3 "Past, Present or Future" Project
Our task for our quarter 3 projects were to create a piece of art with the themes "past,present & future". For this project I went with the past women's liberation in the 1960's. I chose this subject because I was already studying this topic in all my other classes.When creating this project i simply recreated a image of the women's liberation protest.This project was really easy and quick to do but out of all the projects i've done this for me was the most important because this is where it all started from.
