Christmas 2015 The carlisles
Happy Christmas!
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Here is just a little flavour of what we have been up to over the last year.
In March we went with a large number of people from Heaton Baptist Church across the causeway to Lindisfarne. It felt like an epic journey and started wet and cold but ended with sunshine and worship in the church.

Introducing Bounderby
In July we had a fantastic trip to Vancouver and the Rockies. We loved the place especially walking high up in the Rockies where it felt no one else was. We dodged bears ate well and had a great time.
Ruth has suddenly got more work accompanying choirs at the Sage and has really risen to the challenge and enjoyed playing and performing in Hall 1 at the Sage on a Steinway Grand. She has also been helping prepare adults for Saxophone exams.
We had a great time at Sarah Franklin's wedding in October
Andy has continued as a GP in ever changing times but continues to love the contact with patients and teaching GP registrars. The partnership has changed significantly and we have employed a good number of new staff. Roll on the 24 hour NHS!
Ruth and I continue to be a part of a great Lifegroup at Church, Ruth is involved in the worship group and Andy still in Healing on the Streets (now in 7th year)
Sadly Rupert Andy's brother in law has throat cancer and has to have some unpleasant treatment that will take a number of months. Andy's Mum has had an operation on his foot and his Dad is still working at 86. Ruth's Mum had a problem in the floods and is considering whether she needs to move to be nearer family.
Tom and Mel are well settled in Bristol and Tom has a new job teaching English in Bradford on Avon. Bounderby has brought a lot of joy and work. Mel is in freelance communications and has found plenty of customers.
Jon and Rachel live round the corner from us and are doing well. Rachel is being very creative and Jon doing podcasts and brilliant videos. Both of them work as well.
Love
Andy and Ruth
