For a woman in the olden days, Julia Ward had some pretty outstanding accomplishments. Julia was a unique poem writer. She also wrote and performed hymns. (Bio.com). She was always one to stand her ground and fight for what she believed in.
Julia was a songwriter and poet. She is the amazing author of "Battle of Hymns." Her most famous hymn was published in 1861. (Poetry Foundation). She wrote that "Battle of Hymns" in result of an attack from the confederacy. (Poetry Foundation).

Julia stood for what she believed in. One of her quotes states: "Arise, then, women of this day! Arise all women who have hearts." Another quite from her was: "Disarm, Disarm." The sword of murder is not the balance of justice." (Peace Alliance) She joined the Peace Alliance in 1870 which was one of her biggest accomplishments. (Julia)

She was against army and violence. A famous quote probes her feelings on armies and guns or violence. " I could not leave my nursery to follow the march of our armies." Her hymn was also a reflection of this. In 1899 she took her stand. (Google Images)
