Adobe Lightroom CC 2015 Improved for iPad, iPhone and Web Browser.

With the latest upgrade to Adobe Lightroom CC2015, many new features have been added to make the mobile experience just as rewarding as the desktop.

KelbyOne has a great discussion with R.C. Conception and Adobe Evangelist Terry White. I know a lot of you are thinking "Well, I don't edit on my iPad." I suggest giving the video a look and it may just change your mind. In addition, the new LightRoom CC 2015 for iPhone has a camera that can control white balance and exposure along with other features. Check it out:

5 Tips For Better Night Shots

Shot from a suite at The Fairmont Hotel
  1. Motion Sickness - Noting can ruin the sharpness of a good long exposure photo than camera movement. Use a solid tripod (at Doc Miles Photo Tours, we supply tripods designed for the elements) Have a good ball head. One that will not slip or drift. A "L" bracket is great for switching from horizontal to vertical without readjusting the composition and horizon. Please, please, I beg you... carry something to hold down the strap. Better yet, get a removable strap. And...for goodness sake, remove that little string that holds your lens cap and flys around in the wind. Creat a wind break with your body. Stand upwind and block the breeze.
  2. Turn Vibration Reduction (or your camera's lens motion reduction) "OFF" when on a tripod; it will keep moving to find the motion. (Windy situations may actually help keep the lens steady with it left on)
  3. Experiment - Be Different Compose with other angles, look around and , especially, behind you. I cannot tell you how many times I have this big iconic shot right in front of me when right behind me is a killer shot. Here is an example. Last October (2015) on The Loupe Brothers "Peaks to Pinnacles Tour". We were shooting the Sierra sunset (left) Louie Loupe turned around and said to me " look behind you" . There it was. A most incredible "one shot" moonrise over the White Mountains in Nevada.

4.Lose sleep and don't eat. We all know the best shots are when the light is best. With night photography, before dawn and after dark offer some great opportunities. Don't give up. To my embarrassment, I have given up and been on my way back to the car when , all of a sudden, the light provides a gift. Avoid my mistakes, stick around for the final ending. Below is an example of when I packed up went back to the car and had to run back to set up and get this shot.

5. Capture the memory. The human eye is a wonderful and , to date, unsurpassed organic camera. The brain is a remarkable hard drive. Take time to enjoy the moment and let it burn into your memory.
