Megaday Caerphilly - Wales

Megaday is a pop event held annually in the town of Caerphilly, South Wales to help raise funds for the Velindre Cancer centre.
The Festival was first held in 1995. Each year it attracts a huge audience and previously been a venue for the Manic Street Preachers and the Stereophonics.
Megaday was started by the people of Caerphilly as a tribute to an old friend and fellow musician Andrew Nichols (nicknamed Mega) who lost his battle with cancer. In 2001, key organiser Paul Grahame also lost his battle with cancer.
All profits made from Megaday go to the Velindre Cancer Centre. The money goes towards cancer research and patient care.
