Good News for Kenya Train pastors to Refresh the land

Kenya is centered on the equator and sits on the eastern coast of Africa. It is home to approximately 45 million people. Almost half self-identify as Protestant.

The agriculture sector employs 75% of the workforce. Though Kenya's economy is thriving in many respects, at least 17% of Kenyans continue to live on less than $1.25 a day.

By 2025 Africa will be the most Christian continent on earth. The growth of the church has been tremendous in Kenya, but there is much work to be done. The many new sheep being added to the fold are in desperate need of sustenance, protection, and soul care.

We are currently moving toward establishing an ongoing training mechanism in Kenya to help equip and send strong shepherds. We have begun to disciple pastors, planters, and missionaries by providing theological, missiological, and practical ministry training.

Let's build this together.

Help us train leaders like Timothy.

Timothy contacted us through our website with a simple question:

Can you train me?

Timothy pastors a church, works a full-time job, and cares for his wife and two little ones. He does not have the option of availing himself to traditional, formal training. But, he has been called to pastor a flock and he desires to be a faithful shepherd.

Timothy is hungry for discipleship so we chose not to wait until we could get back to Kenya, or until a training cycle could be begun there. Timothy and I meet once or twice a week for 1.5 hours. We use a wonderful, free technology called Skype.

We began with topics like "What is the Gospel?" and "What is the church?" Now, we are going through the book of Galatians verse by verse. All notes are handwritten with lots of visuals. These aid in memory and help insure clear communication.

Timothy is one of thousands.

Join us in investing in Timothy and others like him in Kenya, for the advancement of the gospel across the nation, continent, and world.
